The materials posted represent the ideas beliefs, or opinions of those who write them and not necessarily the views or policies of the Association of School Business Officials International. Material that appears in School Business Now may not be reproduced in any manner without written permission.
School Business Now AI and Machine Use Rights
The Publisher shall have the right to use, license, and authorize third parties to use the article in connection with artificial intelligence (AI) systems and technologies, including but not limited to:
- Training and fine-tuning machine learning models
- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Natural language processing and inference
- Summarization, excerpting, and snippet generation
- Indexing, embedding, and vectorization
The Publisher may determine, at its sole discretion, whether and how the article is made available for such uses, including implementing access controls such as APIs, paywalls, or technical safeguards. Where the article is used in AI-generated outputs or derivative systems, the Publisher will make reasonable efforts to require that licensees provide attribution to School Business Now, including citations, links, or source references where technically feasible.
Third-Party Licensing & Aggregators
The Publisher (ASBO International) retains the right to license or distribute the article through third-party partners, including aggregators, databases, and content platforms.
Metadata and Discoverability
The Publisher shall have the right to create, modify, and enhance metadata associated with the article to support discoverability, indexing, retrieval, and monetization across platforms and systems.
